On the way to Hawaii

Thursday 2nd October

Up at 5am, got ready and on our way to Heathrow Airport. Flight was on time and leaving at 1:50pm, so 10hours + later we are landing at San Francisco airport.

Weather is overcast but a warm 22 degrees. Get the free shuttle bus to the Travel Lodge Inn to crash for the night. We are recommended to eat at ‘Pete’s Dinner’ which is just across the street, true to form everything we order to eat is deep fried!! I’ve never had a grilled cheese sandwich ‘deep fried’ before....new experience and Nick had a seafood platter ‘deep fried’ – they did try to put a healthy spin on it though serving it with rice and carrots! Got backed to our room at 9pm and went straight to bed – body clock is a bit out of sync at the moment!
